Roman Nahornyi: Impressions of Mödling
On Sunday, 2 August, the exhibition “Roman Nahornyi: Impressions of Mödling” opened at Art Gallery Spiritissima.
After an introduction to the artist’s work and a short
film from his hometown entitled “Mykolaiv in War and Peace”, there was an improvised dance performance. The lively conversation with the artist went on for so long that guests did not head to the buffet until two and a half hours after the event began.
The opening also included the presentation of a book project featuring drawings by Roman Nahornyi. Alongside Mödling, it brings together impressions of Vienna, Dresden, Lviv, Kharkiv and Mykolaiv.
Roman Nahornyi greatly enjoyed Mödling and the city’s special atmosphere. He therefore extended his stay by another week to continue his work here.
